Greek Salad On The Go

Make weekdays a bit easier thanks to your large empty jars. Layer in ingredients for a Greek Salad the night before for an on-the-go lunch option. Make sure to put your dressing on the bottom to keep your lettuce crisp and sog-free! Try making your own mason jar salad.

Easy Décor

With a few art supplies, empty jars can turn into cute décor!

  • Leaf Lanterns: with some cheap, fake leaves from the dollar store and a bit of Modge Podge, cleaned out jars can make warm and festive leaf lanterns.
  • Patterned Votives: gather up some extra rubber bands or yarn and apply them in an interesting pattern on your empty jar. Spray the outside of the jar with spray paint. Once dry, carefully remove the rubber bands and yarn. These wrapped painted jars create a wonderful atmosphere. Hot tip: if you’re having trouble removing your stickers, try using a pin to peel up the edges.

DIY Quick Pickles

Everyone loves a nice zesty, crisp pickle with a sandwich. But did you know making your own at home is super easy and fun? All you need is a clean glass jar, some sliced fresh cucumber, salt, sugar, vinegar, and water. You can add whatever spices you prefer. Let sit in your fridge for at least 24 hours, and then enjoy!
